The Burgenland is Austria’s most Eastern federal state that used to belong to Hungary. It is famous for its great white and red wines and, for its largest steppe lake in Europe, the Neusiedlersee, which is partly in Austria and partly in Hungary. Festivals in Summer, lots of culture, castles and animal wildlife.
- Visit of Eisenstadt, the capital of the Burgenland
- Visit of Rust, the medieval “Freistadt“, with its historic fisher’s chapel and beautiful main square full of storks. Rust is famous for its storks population during the warmer season. Besides, it produces special sweet wines, such as the “Ausbruch“, due to the warm climate in the Burgenland
- Quarry of St. Margarethen
- Boat ride on the Lake Neusiedlersee possible during the Summer season
- Wine tastings can be arranged beforehand (max. 3 wineries in a day trip)

- It is also possible to combine the visit of the lake with a tour to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. If so, we can extend the tour, especially in Summer, when daytimes is longer. We can adjust the time-frame, as well as the tour, to your personal needs.
